Estes Park in the fall is so beautiful. I made this cake for a friend from work October 2nd. Their wedding was at the Forever Garden at Mary’s Lodge in Estes Park.
The whole wedding was themed around mountains and hiking. We decided to do multiple cakes and display them on logs the couple found and trimmed down.
As for flavors we went classic and simple. Vanilla cake layered with bavarian cream and fresh strawberries and chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream filling.
On the vanilla cake the couple chose ivory vanilla bean buttercream, quite elegant and simple. I loved seeing those little vanilla specks on the cake and in the bavarian cream!

All the ribbon was made by the groom’s Mom and matched the groom’s mens’ ties, bride’s maids’ dresses. Here are the photographer’s pictures of the wedding. Congrats Karen and Brian!
